Louis Allis has
been supplying motors for the Navy and
Military since 1941.
The Louis Allis Company was the first
manufacturer of electric motors
to receive the Army/Navy "E" award for
excellence in production.
It was also one of the first companies
of any kind to be awarded the Fifth
Star,
denoting three full years of continuous
outstanding contribution to the war
effort.
Typical
motors we have provided to
the Navy include:
Gun turret motors
Shipboard laundry
motors
Anchor motors
Bow thruster motors
Pump motors
Compressor motors
Elevator motors
Ammunition hoist
motors
Fan motors and
blowers
Most U.S. Navy
submarines and many
other government and
commercial vessels
have Louis Allis
motors on board.
NASA's launch
platform uses Louis
Allis motors to
raise and lower the
space shuttle in
preparation for each
launch.
