Louis Allis has been providing specialty electric motors since 1901. The original
motors produced were all direct current (DC). In 1909 Louis Allis developed the
first alternating current (AC) motor. Since that time Louis Allis has produced
more specialty motors than any other U.S. motor manufacturer.
Designing motors for specific industry tasks continues to be the primary focus of Louis Allis.
